4,035. Blemishes of the Skin and More
Hilchos Bias HaMikdash 8:15
There are eight blemishes of the skin: (1) exceptionally dark skin; (2) exceptionally light skin, white like cheese; (3) skin that’s red like scarlet wool; (4) ritually clean blemishes from some inherent cause (as opposed to tzaraas); (5) a change in the skin from some other cause, like a burn scar. This is in the category of pure blemishes; (6) a facial mole of any size when it has hair, even if it's smaller than an isar*; (7) a facial mole the size of an isar or larger; (8) warts. If a person’s flesh or skin swells, or if the humors in the skin swell anywhere in the body, it’s a blemish.
Hilchos Bias HaMikdash 8:16
There are four more blemishes of a human (but not an animal): (1) deafness; (2) lack of cognitive ability; (3) epilepsy, even if experienced only intermittently; (4) suffering from depression, either constantly or at specific times.
